My Stride: 15 Years of Running
I’ve been running since 6th grade — just a kid trying to be the fastest on the track. What started as running laps before and after school turned into a lifelong love affair (with a few breakups along the way). Now, after 15+ years, I’m still lacing up for the same reason: to push myself, clear my head, and stay connected to the running community.
I’m a casual, distance-focused runner who’s happiest on the trails — especially in California’s hills and mountains. Most of my runs fall between a 5K and half marathon, averaging about 5–6 miles, but I’m always down for something wild. I’ve skydived into ultramarathons, climbed 7,000 feet in the Stinson Beach Marathon, and even hosted my own community runs. For me, running isn’t just a workout — it’s a way to impress myself, connect with others, and tell stories worth remembering.
I also work at Fleet Feet, where I get hands-on with new running gear and shoes before they even drop. I geek out on everything from stack height to midsole foam to toe box shape. If it’s built for running, I want to test it, review it, and help others find their perfect fit.
That’s why I started The Daily Stride — to bring runners into my world and share what I learn. Whether you’re here for trail stories, shoe reviews, or inspiration to get moving again, I hope you’ll find something that resonates.
Let’s run.
